SCHOLAR BADGE CRITERIA

Ranks and Honours

Delhi Private School Sharjah does not rank its students. However, a grading process on the basis of marks scored is often done to facilitate college admission procedures.

The school has a scholar badge ladder which awards students for consistent academic endeavour for seven consecutive years from grade 5 to grade 11 culminating with the winning of gold medal by the student. Students are encouraged to work for their scholar badge as it is a very prestigious award bestowed by the school for good consistent academic work. (Please check Scholar Badge Policy)

Scholar Badge – Grade IX

Scholar Badge	Students securing 80% or above in their exams (Core Aggregate) 70% in Arabic, Islamic Studies & FMM/ AI / Mkt Stanine 6 (minimum) in English, Math and Science in the ASSET Clear pass in all subjects ‘Avid’ in the Reading program 95% Attendance	SB Certificate and badge
High Achiever	Students who secure 90% and above in aggregate of core subjects 70% in FMM/ AI / Mkt, Arabic and Islamic Studies Stanine 6 (minimum) in English, Math and Science in the ASSET Clear pass in all subjects ‘Avid’ in the Reading program 95% Attendance	SB Certificate + HA certificate Or HA certificate only (If not satisfying 5,6 conditions)

	CONDITIONS: SB can NOT be given to students who joined the school AFTER FIRST TERM, missed UT1, HY, UT2 and take only FE. Student should have taken at least one Summative exam in all subjects (HY or FE) for promotion.	Scholar Badge Tier – 5: Green Badge – Grade 9

Scholar badge policy (Initiated in the Year 2021)
The school has a scholar badge ladder which awards students for consistent academic endeavour for seven consecutive years from grade 5 to grade 11 culminating with the winning of gold medal by the student. Students are encouraged to work for their scholar badge as it is a very prestigious award bestowed by the school for good consistent academic work.
A modification in this policy enables the student to improve their academic effort and work for the scholar badge even if he/she has missed out the scholar badge a particular year.
If a student misses out his or her scholar badge a particular year, he is still encouraged to work hard so that he can continue to progress in the scholar badge ladder from where he/she last failed to achieve (left). However, please note missing even a single year of scholar badge will prevent them from achieving their gold medal, which is the most coveted achievement in this Tier of badges and awards
